Ballylooby N.S. is a rural school situated in the picturesque countryside village of Ballylooby in County Tipperary. It is a mainstream school which caters for 177 children and has a staff of ten teachers, one SNA, a secretary and two ancillary staff.
Scoil Náisiúnta Béal Átha Lúbaigh is a Roman Catholic mainstream school under the patronage of the bishop of Waterford and Lismore, catering for boys and girls from 4 – 13 years of age.
The school is a partnership between the Board of Management, the teachers, the staff and the parents.

School Site and Facilities
The school is situated on a beautiful site nestled between the Knockmealdown and Galtee mountains. The school grounds consist of a beautiful flower garden/shrubbery, a vegetable garden, an astro turf section, two tarmac courts and a pitch with goal posts. There is also a playground for the infants with slides etc. Thanks to the hall committee, the school has the use of the local hall for indoor games.
The importance of caring for our environment is encouraged. The school takes part in the Green School initiative which is very successful in maintaining the school grounds and encouraging recycling.
